Quillt!

I got a new consulting job about a month ago, for this company called Nerd Swagger Inc. I'm gonna be working on their iPhone app Quillt, which is very exciting since this is my first consulting job with a startup!

Also, turns out Dex was pulled from the App Store, and any and all Pokemon apps are also being taken down from the App Store. So I decided not to pursue my Pokedex app, since it would probably be taken down pretty quickly.

Working on a new app!

So I started working on a new app a few weeks ago, temporarily called "MasterDex." As you might guess, it's a Pokemon Pokedex app. I know there are already a few Pokedex apps out there, but most only have the Pokemon.

I remember when I used to play the Pokemon games on my GBA, other than wanting to know details about each Pokemon I fought, such as strengths/weaknesses, I also wanted to see maps of where I was going, and where I could catch each Pokemon.

That's what I hope to accomplish with this app. I want to my app to be, short of a full walkthrough, a detailed database of Pokemon and Pokemon World-related data. So it would have info about Pokemon, types, berries, maps, etc.

I'll be working on this throughout the semester, as I balance development with classes and extracurriculars, but I hope to have on the App Store as soon as possible!

It's been a long time...

...since I've posted here last! And honestly, there hasn't been much to post about, until now.

Spring semester was pretty interesting. I participated in a program called Grooveshark University, and got to attend all these free seminars (with free pizza!). I also got the chance to work with the Grooveshark people to make an iPad app that lets people who are interested in working at Grooveshark submit applications on the iPad itself.

Now, I am currently working as an intern at Northrop Grumman Corporation, a security corporation, in Orlando for the summer.

Exciting stuff...

Now I'm working on a new app with one of my good friends, Mike Cheung, that lets weightlifters track how much they lift (e.g. sets/reps/weight) on their iPhone/iPad (yes, I'm sure some people would take their iPads to the gym haha). We just started designing the app, and getting features set, so I'll update here as we progress.

On another note, I've recently gotten around to organizing my library of code that I reuse across apps I make. I have put them in public repositories on GitHub, and you can find them under the "Free Code" section on the righthand column. Feel free to download and use it in your own projects!

Formulus Updates

Formulus Free 3.0.2 has been approved, and is in the store now! I have tested it all the way back to iOS 3.0, so everything should work.

Formulus HD has also just been approved, and will be in the App Store within 24 hours. Check out the app page using the sidebar to the right for more details!
